Valued Customers and Friends...

I owned Arthur’s Coffee Shop – La Habra for 40 years. It is amazing to think that many of us have known each other for nearly that long.

With the best interests of the restaurant’s employees, customers, and the financial health of the business, I decided to sell the restaurant to someone with the resources and experience to manage it into the future.

As of Tuesday (10/8), Mr. Alvaro Garcia and his team will own Arthur’s Coffee Shop.

Alvaro grew up in Downey next to my father’s original restaurant. Now in his forties, Alvaro’s family and friends still frequent that restaurant.

He and his talented team also operate over 120 restaurants so they understand and value the unique bond that exists between the Arthur’s staff and customers.

Alvaro’s plans are to: 1) get to know the La Habra staff and customers, 2) eventually merge the best menu items from both the La Habra and Downey locations, 3) enhance the staff and customer experience at the restaurant, and 4) possibly build more Arthur’s restaurants in the future.

I encourage you to continue your patronage of Arthur’s Coffee Shop. Alvaro and his team will be working hard to keep you happy.

It was my great honor to serve you. We stuck together through many very good, and very difficult times.
